Montessori Country School on Bainbridge Island, Washington, is an independent school serving children from birth to 12 years. Located in Puget Sound, we are 8 miles west of downtown Seattle. The island is accessible by ferryboat and a bridge to the Olympic Peninsula. Bainbridge Island hosts a rich arts community and easy access to outdoor experiences.

Our programs include a Parent and Child class, one toddler class, three primary classes, a lower elementary, and an upper elementary. We are an inclusive and supportive community of life-long learners and dedicated Montessorians.

We are seeking an Assistant for our Upper Elementary class to begin August 24, 2026. Ideal candidates for this position will be organized, flexible, confident, independent, collaborative, and have a deep respect for the elementary age children. Classroom experience and an appreciation for the Montessori Method are preferred. Applicants interested in pursuing Montessori training are encouraged to apply.
