Our Mission

The mission of PNMA is to encourage, support, and advocate for excellent Montessori education.
We are a catalyst for creating the united common voice required to advocate effectively for Montessori communities. This is especially important because of imminent legislation affecting education.

PNMA is a non-profit professional organization comprised of teachers, interns, administrators, and schools promoting excellence and growth in Montessori education. We are dedicated to working harmoniously in supporting, nurturing, and connecting Montessorians from diverse training backgrounds across the Pacific Northwest. The PNMA serves as a resource for individuals interested in learning more about the Montessori philosophy, and provides information for parents in the process of selecting a quality Montessori school. All Montessorians, administrators, directors, teachers, guides, friends, and supporters are invited to become members of the PNMA.

Our Purpose

*** To bring together Montessorians of the Northwest to work in harmony toward excellence and prosperity.
*** To create a common voice to advocate for the expansion and future of Montessori education.
*** To provide a comprehensive Directory of Montessori schools, teachers, teacher-traininggroups and other resources.
*** To provide meaningful communication and support to our members creating a strong Montessori community.
*** To provide quality continuing education through PNMA programs, and connecting members with other avenues of training.
