Description: Montessori School Director/ Center Manager
Job Summary
Promote organization values, culture and vision.
Supervise, and in some cases create, and implement wide range of academic, after school, and enrichment programs, including specialty programs.
Ensure overall success of the program as established by the organization and in alignment with the AMS standards.
Ensure program environment, operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
In collaboration with Admissions, assist in family admissions approval.
Keep Head of School/Admissions (where appropriate) and other senior staff informed with detail reports of staff performance and student outcome.
Discover and implement strategies, procedures and policies to enhance productivity and classroom management.
Develop and implement staff development opportunities.
Set goals to align with the school vision.
Implement strategies for growth and quality.
Ensure organization meets state and DEL health and safety requirements/procedures (Disaster preparedness, lock down, fire drills, earth quake drills, kitchen safety etc).
In collaboration with Human Resource and Head of School hire qualified staff in accordance with established organization standards and ensure continuous staff development.
Observe and evaluate families and children for enrollment purpose.
Reports to: Head of School
* No Administration experience required. The school administration will provide the needed tools and training.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
Montessori Certification, AMS or MACTE Accredited.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Very detail- oriented
Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines
Other requirements:
Cleared Background check and Current First Aid/ CPR
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crouch, sit on the floor and conduct all activities/movements necessary to support children enrolled the program
Ability to function in a calm and professional manner under pressure (or in an emergency)
